Intergenerational Nordic Handcraft Workshop: Carve a Jultomte with Matt Bruch
Learn to carve a charming little Tomte, just like the whimsical figure featured in the old folk stories! This class invites youth and their important adult for a relaxing afternoon of carving in the traditional Scandinavian flat plane style during the busy holiday season. This program is for one child and one adult to attend together, and each work on their own projects. Please reach out if you wish to confirm available space for additional children to attend with a registered adult. Average hand strength and dexterity are required to be successful in this style of woodcarving. All participants should have the hand strength to open a pickle jar. Open to all skill levels, this course especially suits new carvers. This program is for children ages 9-17 and an adult.
